Big Lou Heads Home.....Post Views...16,980

Two weeks ago Big Lou headed back to Wisconsin.  Before he left we had a few more PNW adventures.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon Zach took us for a ride to Mt. Hood.  As we ascended the mountain it was unusual that green grass was showing rather than several feet of snow. It made for a comfortable trip for us.  Even on the mountain the snow level was the lowest in several years.

Lou wanted one more ride to Lewisville park.
We were again treated to sunny weather.

Why pack luggage on a Monday afternoon when one--or two--can drive to Frenchman's Bar to watch ships waiting to enter the Port of Vancouver?  Or to enjoy scenes of early spring?

Though the air was quite windy and chilly......

                                            Goodbye, Papa Lou.......

Lou had a good 6 weeks visit in Vancouver. Though he still depends on the feeding tube, he was content just to be here.  The weather was exceptionally warm and sunny.  He enjoyed lots of days sitting on the front porch and several sightseeing adventures.  Our PNW family had a chance to hang out with him.  He and I had many conversations and CRIBBAGE games.....I won the most.....
He has moved back home to Park Falls....back to "independent living".  He is looking forward to a trip to San Diego in July and perhaps another trip out here in August for blackberry season....

This has been a good "Big Lou heads home" day in the life of Grandma G.
