A Plethora of Events.....

February/March in the PNW is a mixture of lingering winter and budding spring....

Late in the month on a Friday, shortly after returning from San Diego, I hosted my first "League of Adventurous Women of Vancouver" board game evening. It is an informal time for ladies to come together and get their game board fix.  This evening only 4 of us attended since the weather forecast was for freezing rain.

We had fun playing "exploding kittens", munching snacks and admiring clever tea leaf holders....

The following week even after driving Ted often, one afternoon I went to start him up and only sputtering sounds came out.  Next morning there was nothing.  With some investigating I found out I had towing coverage. So with a little hassle he got a ride to a nearby service station.

After $171 I drove him home with a new high quality battery.
(The battery company said they had a good sales winter with the weather being cold..)

Roofing Bee/Dumpling party.....

The goal of the San Diego weekend was for Gerry and his 4 brothers to re-roof his new, older home in Ocean Side.   With a setback of a worker not showing up to take off old shingles and a second set who simply were "done working" before the job was finished, numerous trips for supplies and heavy winds on Monday, the project was about 2/3 done when the brothers had to leave on Tuesday.
