We have had a lot of chilly, rainy days, but we did enjoy a walk along the Columbia River  on a sunny Tuesday.

A Good Sociable Week!!

I had a good sociable past several days, starting with lunch with a new friend who has been wanting to visit with me since last summer.  A lady cashier at Freddy's, for some mysterious reason, wants to be friends with me.  She is from Romania which is interesting because I have some Romanian blood.  We had a nice visit and I look forward to getting to know her better.

Later in the week I also had an olive Garden lunch and visit with a dear friend.  We chatted for a long time while enjoying a taste of Italy.

That same afternoon I did some shopping at the mall for a special occasion coming soon and checked out the library housed in the mall.  Got me a library card and now all I have to do is find time to check out books and audio-books.

On Wednesday I was privileged to play piano for about an hour for a lunch outreach to the homeless.  I enjoyed being involved and look forward to more  opportunities to play hymns and uplifting songs for them.
I finished uploading and programming the digital photo album of last summer's visit from and with grandson Tyler.  We had many adventures so there were lots of photos to pick and choose from our 1,000 mile Oregon Road trip with cousin Angie.

Friday I walked and walked until 3.05 miles passed under my feet.  That is a bit of a record which will hopefully be broken soon.

Saturday evening after church service I obtained my ministry partner badge so that I can help out where needed.

Then headed home to a reptilian visit...

Micaela and Lola.

Her friend Zeek with Cheeto....

I say "EEK!!!".  Not cuddly enough for me.  No thanks....

Sunday was a perfect afternoon for a stroll along the Columbia River...an almost 70 degree sunny day.  Great way to welcome in daylight savings time.

Deb and Keys heading out for a 5 mile hike, while I leisurely enjoy the riverfront scenes.

This has been a good 7 sociable days in the life of Grandma G.

"See! The winter has past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers have appeared on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in the land."
