It Was a Fun B-day.......Post Views....16,696

Tuesday was MY B-day.....part way through the day I realized this will be a special year all year....because whether one looks at my age right side up or upside down I am the same age without repeating any numbers....riddle....riddle....riddle.   Imaginary prize for whoever guesses it....there are even hints in this post...

Heading out on a ride along Marine Drive......looking for a perfect spot to watch airplanes take off and land....not here....
Vancouver, WA.....a city on a hill north of the Columbia River
Wonderful Mt. Hood viewing day...with NPW power lines....
Houseboat community....or is that "boathouse"...
205 bridge  connecting Portland,OR with Vancouver, WA via Columbia River....

...Or climb over that mountain....
Unless you are matching white semi-trucks....
Mt. Hood and 205 bridge....

Hey, Papa Lou, we found our airplane viewing area.....

Mt. Hood from the viewing area

Ending the day with dinner in Portland....

The short and tall of it......

Three generations of February Birthdays....
Gram G, Mom Deb, Daughter Micki...
Did you guess Grandma G's "either way" age?

So, ends a great, fun PNW B-day.......

This has been a good Fun B-day in the life of Grandma G.

"The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.  They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, 'The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him'."
(Psalm 92:12-15)

The Falls Revisited.....Post Views....16, 672

It's been over a week since granddaughter, Angie, and Bentley took us to see a series of high waterfalls.   The memories and pictures remind us of a wonderful day.

The main touristy one is Multnomah Falls.  It is one of 4 or 5 in the area.

Poor Grandma G.....all that sightseeing has crippled her up.....sigh.....

Papa Lou having a sit and a view....
(Behind You,
Lou....)

A full view of the falls.....
the white area on the bottom is part of the falls....
We did not walk up to the bridge....
that will be for summer adventuring
(The bridge was closed for awhile....
a large chunk of rock had fallen and
damaged a portion of the bridge.)

Then it was on to Horsetail Falls a few miles up the road......It is literally right along the side of the road.....

Close up picture of Grandma G and the falls....

A proportionate "far away" picture of Gram G and the falls....

Finally, we stopped to view the Bridge of the Gods connecting Oregon and Washington across the Columbia River.....

Papa Lou taking in the sights

Time to cross the bridge and head home.......

Thanks, Sissy, for a magnificent day.......

This has been a good 4 "The Falls Revisited"  days in the life of Grandma G.

"On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter." (Zechariah 14: 8)
