I started planning late last
winter...and then the virus struck. I still made plane reservations, knowing they might have to be altered, but hoped all would be well. As spring and early summer set in health concerns grew. Some adjustments to the Great Adventure had to be made.
SO....even up to the night before, I wasn't sure it would happen. Thursday, August 6, I bravely and excitedly boarded a plane for San Diego via San Jose! (I did cover my nose.)
So long, Pacific Northwest! See you in 12 days!

A hot Sunday afternoon hike up "Mt. Vista".
And refreshing shady walk along the duck pond...(This excursion left me with a bit of heat exhaustion and dehydration for the next 18 hours...but recovered with rest and coconut water!)

Gemma/Grandma G Great Wisconsin Adventure!

Then it's on to Thursday-Saturday road trip adventures to Door County and Green Bay...
