Rockaway Beach...a fitting way to "rock away" the summer
But first a suitable ending to August!
The Blue Super Moon over Vancouver...
Lit up lovely cloud formations in the night
In reality the moon had an orange glow to it.
I recall, as a child, hearing and singing a song or two about "Blue Moon..."
I thought it expressed someone being sad.
Just recent years I came to understand it meant a second full moon in a month.

Saturday, Sept 2, Zach and I took a drive to Rockaway Beach, Oregon for the afternoon.
Heading out of Portland
Through Goose Hollow Tunnel...
Into the Coastal Range Mountains
Ten minutes on the beach will do us!
Soft sand too difficult to walk on,
tide coming in,
smoggy air from wildfire smoke
Rockway is a family favorite!
Hanging with the locals!
Zach had a mission...a stop at Flamingo Jim's to replace a lost hamster
for daughter Rosie!
First great grandchild going to first grade!!
Feeling squirrelly?
Need a little help?
It's a jungle out here!
Enjoying a little late summer hobbit garden time!
Geese going or coming?
In the fall,
They go away from northern Wisconsin;
They come to Vancouver!
Dancing angel clouds!
There is no end to creativity!
Monday, Sept 18, niece Susan and husband Eric finished their 500 mile pilgrimage to Santiago de Campostela! They walked 46 days!
Congratulations and Blessings to them!!

REFLECTIONS
The summer has passed, though there should be several more "nice" days before the rain sets in. I am grateful for the time I had to sit and enjoy my back deck and hobbit garden, though I am amazed how quickly it all came and went. Miserable days were mixed in there with 6 weeks of toothache and dental procedures. But there was also anticipation of fun adventure on the horizon! Gotta check back to find out what the autumn weeks bring to Gram G!
This has been a good 3 Geogram weeks in the life of Gram G.
