Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13, was time for my big show.....
after several weeks of waiting and sporadic practice and not really being completely ready....

AUTUMN REFLECTIONS...
A busy, rushed effort to get snacks together, props collected, technical equipment readied, clothing changed,
Carole came early to help me transport everything to the club house.
The concert was a mixture of original 15 serious, reflective pieces and fun songs.
"Man on the O-Hi-O". This was written for a grandson just learning to play guitar.
A Johnny Cash wannabe song about a mysterious man standing on the bank of the Ohio (river) "on a starless night when the north wind blows"
Friend Nancy was able to attend after all. It being her 84th B-day, we sang Happy B-day to her.
20 folks were my audience.
I chose hats as "visuals" for some of the pieces.
Sun hat for "San Diego Boogie"
Green elf cap for
"Tricky Leprechaun"...
couldn't find a "real" one
Found a happy monkey to be my buddy for "Monkey Tail Tree".
A friend of mine recently said I need to find out (figure out) who I am.
I don't know why he would say that...
Looking good on Jake and Deb
Every good concert deserves flowers.
We all had a good time and I received enough encouragement to try another one in the spring!

Saturday, after water aerobics, it was time to get into the Thanksgiving spirit. Wrote out (and got in the mail) 8 cards, I did!
Did a little piano practice to play at the clubhouse late afternoon as folks are waiting for turkey dinner to be served.
I made some good ol' green bean casserole and a pan of boxed au-gratin potatoes as my share of the pot luck.
People were impressed with my festive hat.
