Birthday Fiesta time in San Diego for 2 year old, Berklee!!
Time for granddaughter Angie to send off Gram G from Portland to San Diego for 7 days.
A 2 and half hour flight and the Coronado Bridge comes into view!
Wednesday evening is game night with Amanda and Bill. Gram G trying out Rummie Cube, but can't tell the difference between the black and blue tiles without the help of the tail end of a firefly flashlight.

Thursday, Oct 5th, Berklee's Birthday morning! It's a day out starting with a trip downtown to the Children's Museum.
Lunch at the outdoor mall
How to feed your pelican.....You come across a hungry one inviting himself to lunch with a fisherman filleting his small fish. You watch as he throws the scraps at the lunging bird.
You hesitatingly accept a chunk of scrap from the fisherman as the pelican starts flapping his wings at you.....
And you throw the stinky fish at the lunging bird as his beak comes closer and closer to you. WaLa!....he catches it midair. One try is enough, thank you.
A Friday trip to Pancho Villa Marcado for a few fiesta needs. We did get in some extra miles and scenery as Amanda missed the proper exit while we were chatting. I think we got to about 10 miles from the Mexico border. Fun ride!! We also checked out the weekly "Swap Meet" flea market.
Last minute Sunday fiesta prep!!
Cousin Gemma
Uncle Gerry opening up fiesta flowers
Trying out the Mexican lime soda...Yum!
Pin the tail on the donkey
Taking down the sun pinata filled with Mexican candies!!
Fun was had by all!! Ole!!
This has been a good 10 remembering "San Diego Fiesta" days in the life of Grandma G.
"A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news brings health to the bones."
(Proverbs 15:30)
