Grandma G enjoyed 5 days of "Up North" Wisconsin color. Though I was there on family business....sorting some things out for Louie....I was able to go for a walk along the Flambeau River at Hines Park. (That was my favorite outing while living in Park Falls.) The late afternoon autumn sun cast a lovely glow on the trees and river.
While taking photos of the river I spotted an eagle flying low across the water....
And then soaring into the air....
late afternoon sun....
Throughout town the color displays were magnificent.
While in Park Falls I enjoyed visiting with with my younger brother and his wife a couple times. Brother Nick has endured Pick's disease for over 10 years. His wife, Sandy, cares for him at home.
I also challenged another sister-in-law to a game of Upwords...Incredibly we ended with a tie so neither one of us could brag or feel bad....
Three sisters-in-law out for lunch....

(My apologies to any Park Falls friends who might read this....
Time didn't allow any visits other than family. Wish I could have met with you.)
Saturday morning it was time to say goodbye to Wisconsin beauty and fly east to go west.....
Wisconsin meets Lake Michigan....
"Light show" tunnel in Detroit airport...
On to sunny Salt Lake City then a bumpy flight back into windy, rainy Portland.....6:30 AM central time to 4 PM Pacific time. Home for a 2 hour nap....
Sunday afternoon baby Berklee got to go home after spending her first 7 days in the hospital. She needed extra care to clear up an infection.
Soon it is on to San Diego for Grandma G to bond with our newest little treasure..
grand baby #19. Beks is her nickname...
Berklee Evergreen King-Schmidt
We now have royalty in the family.....
This has been a good 4 autumn splendor days in the life of Grandma G.
"Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious! Say to God, 'How awesome are your deeds!'" (Psalms 65:1-3)
