Another Successful AT.....Post Views, 24, 561

What does Gramma G mean to you??
To her family Gramma G means.......
        DUMPLINGS!  OH, YAH!!
One starts with pork steak and almost dry bread.  Roast the pork with garlic and caraway seed, pour in water for gravy.  Mix the bread pieces with grated potatoes, shape into baseballs and boil for 30 minutes.  Cook up a bit of sauerkraut.  (homemade in the old days)

Add the hungry folk..
And its family time!

Mom Jen, cousin Eddy and Uncle Al

Birthday cake time for mom.

So, we (Devin and I) had this intellectual (though, not intelligent on my part) discussion about an algebra problem I saw presented on the computer.
9-(3 divided by 1/3)+1 =?
Most people came up with 3, 7, or 9 which are all wrong.  The answer is 1.
I have never favored algebra (It's a bunch of confusing, useless number and symbols. My panicked little math brain cells start bombarding each other.)
Devin was trying to explain to me that 3 divided by 1/3 equals 9.  (How absurd, one multiplies)
Next he tried explaining to me a practical application for dividing by a fraction.  OBSERVE:
y=1/x.  (in other words)
y=the amount of snow on the ground
1/x=1/temperature
Therefore (my logic)
y=4 inches of snow on the ground
1/10= 10 degrees above zero
THEREFORE: At 100 degrees there is 40 inches of snow on the ground.

Time to howl at the almost
 full Wisconsin moon!!

Off to Back Home in Indiana on Wed.

This has been a good 8 AT days on the life of Grandma G.

"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these'."
