A visit to Wisconsin is not complete for me until I have enjoyed a day to Lake Superior. Saturday was that day. Tyler, Logan and I started out at 10 AM to drive the hour and a half to the Lake. We were blessed with sunny skies and warm temperatures...
With it being early spring "up north" the trees were not fully leafed out, but grass was green and lilacs budding.Memorial Day weekend is the start of the tourist season and several stores were open for business.....
Ice cream waffle cones for all!!
Waiting for our turn on the Madeline Island ferry.....
20 minute ride......
Upper deck on the ferry....
A closer look at the water....
Here comes the Island.....
Patriotism.....
United States....
Packers.....
Pirates.....
Back to the mainland....
Bayfield, WI
Trying out the icy water of Lake Superior.....
Brrr......
Took the back road out of the neighboring town.....
Got a bit lost in the dark of 9:30PM....found out way home....
This was a good Lake Superior day in the life of Grandma G.
"They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9)
