Gram G Is Green......Post Views...18,221

.........Not green with envy, though.....

After 2&1/2 years of pebble yard I was craving something green....preferably a little green back yard. Starting the beginning of April this 17 ft by 9 ft patch of rocks has morphed into the early stages of green ground....Irish moss pods that won't have to mowed

BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE.....

Gram G's backyard now has 1 lonesome pine tree, 3 blueberry shrubs, 2 raspberry bushes, 6 pea sprouts, 4 green bean stalks, 2 sweet pepper plants,
2 cantaloupe vines......and 1 long green hose...
well, well, well, well, well.....well done you green grandma you....

AND THE MOST FUNNIST.....
These green jeans never got washed from the start of the projects until the very end.....
something soothing about donning a dirty pair of outdoor work jeans.....
(but now they are washed)

There was/is more green on the opposite side of the house.....
It is known as weeds.....but we don't discuss that....
Actually here in the PNW there are no weeds.....
Merely misguided wild flowers....

      First rose of the season....
May 9.
Portland is the rose capital of the world.....
(rose festival is happening right now)

Vancouver is just across the river....

This, Folks, is what captured my time for the past several weeks.  This plus redecorating the guest room for granddaughter, Autumn, when she returns with me for a visit to Vancouver, the great PNW and her Miller cousins.

Here in mid-Wisconsin life has been going well with Gram G and "the boys".  After a week of school, tomorrow the younger two and I will again head "Up North" for the weekend.  We will probably be off the grid.....but full of photos.

Only 2 mishaps since I've been here.....
Gram G got sucked into the fireplace.....

And she dropped her dolphin
down the drain.....
dolphin earring....now what?
how about a paper clip turned fish hook and "fish it out"....along with hair globs.....

This has been a good "remembering the green" day in the life of Grandma G.

"The righteous thrive like a palm tree.....they will still bear fruit in old age, healthy and green, to declare, 'The Lord is just; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him'." (Psalm 92: 12 -15)
