Heading "Back East" to Wisconsin......Post Views.....12,333

The past few days have been busy (though slowly) getting ready to head "back east" to Wisconsin on Wednesday.  Each time I pack its like packing for the first time.....How do I do this?  What to take?  Only, lately it seems the process takes longer and longer....
Louie is having triple by-pass, heart valve replacement surgery on Tuesday, August 12.   I and most of our 7 children will be there.
It is a major event in our family's life.   Check back for updates as the days go by.

Here in Vancouver, WA the afternoon temperatures have been soaring into the 90's.  I've been trying to walk about 8:30 in the morning before the heat sets in.   I find it interesting that the peak heat is late afternoon.   "Back east" the height of the heat is around noon or 1PM.

St. Jude's had a festival in honor of Jude.....

Jude and I had a Ferris wheel ride.....

Sitting on the top of the world......

Come on, Betsy, share the corn on the cob with me.......

Jude doesn't see much lightning in San Diego.....or thunder storms....

A dinosaur egg from the Indianapolis museum....a gift from Jude since I kept talking about viewing dinosaur eggs in southern Indiana....which we never did.....
(I haven't "grown" or "cracked" the egg yet.)

This has been a good 2 "getting ready" and recalling Indiana days in the life of Grandma G.

"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people."  (Matthew 4:23)
