Blood Moon Eclipse/Hobbit Visit....Post Views....20,246

Sunday night treated us to a beautiful celestial show.  It was the lunar eclipse of a "super moon".

At first I had a difficult time finding the super moon.  I started looking for it about
7:10 PM PDT.  I kept looking where I generally see the moon later on in the evening...no moon.
Checked occasionally through the hour.  Finally located it "across the street".   To the east?
With all the lights of the neighborhood the moon was hard to see and photograph.  So.....it was time to scurry down the street in between to houses where the lights weren't showing. Was a bit concerned someone would call their little pooch on me or skip a rock...or I might walk into a spider web.

Took 101 pictures...kind of like the dalmatians.. (later, 12 proved to be usable).

Super Moon Splendor......

Don't know if it was the super moon, but.....

A hobbit showed up for tea on Monday morning.....

Must have been the super moon.....

Or maybe Gram G talked about a hobbit party and forgot who she told and when to come.....we had a fun cup of tea....
Official hobbit party still to come....

Today is the last day of September.  Time to look ahead into autumn and all the coming holidays.  I have had a good summer with lots of fun adventures.

I did grow some green beans after all....
Don't know if I should dry them for planting next summer or sow them now to grow a magic bean stalk.....
Also grew 3 squash...freshest cooked squash for me.... one hour from picking to eating....

Are we ready for THIS????

Enjoy this first.....
Happy Harvest......

On to another adventure.....check back in a few days to see what!

This has been a good 4 super moon days in the life of Grandma G.

"The day is yours [Lord], and yours also the night; you established the sun and the moon.  It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth: you made both summer and winter." (Psalms 74: 16 & 17)
