   Portland has a new bridge......

   Tilikum Crossing....

No cars can cross this bridge...

It is for the Max, buses, trolleys, bicycles, and people...

We Red Hat people crossed it on Thursday,

Our adventure started out at 10 on a beautiful morning, leaving the park and driving to the Max station in Oregon.

Tilikum Crossing Bridge...

Bridge of the People....

Name selected from 9,500 entries

Runs 1,720 feet east and west across the Willamette River, connecting downtown Portland and its cultural area

(There is a billboard near Milwaukie that advertises changing the name to Jean-Luc Picard.  At least one citizen is a Trekkie.)

"Tilikum" is Chinook for "people"

We rode across it on the Max

This has been a good Tilikum Crossing day in the life of Grandma G.

"The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground."  (Joshua 4: 17)
