On the first day of December,
Grandma G attended an event to remember.....
The Trail Band performing a novel Christmas concert....
Alphorns....they played...
"Jolly Old St. Nicklaus"
Mt. Hood featured on the drum head.....
Debbie and I attended at a local high school. The band was formed 20 years ago. It is dedicated to the Oregon trail, ending in
Seaside, OR. The 8 members played several instruments each, featuring a wide variety of music styles. FUN.......
The targeted audience was a sea of silver and gray and bald heads......
After a dinner of lasagna I headed out into the rain to find my way home on a PNW winter night.
December is a good month to find a little something to celebrate each day. That will make this last, chilly, dark month of the year pass quickly and enjoyably. I intend to have 31 days of Pacific Northwest Christmas.
This has been a good 1st of December day in the life of Grandma G.
"And God said, 'Let there be light', and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness he called night." (Genesis 1:3-5)
