Power Washing......Post Views....12,246

Today it was time to get in some outdoor cleaning Pacific Northwest style.   Power washing......
Grandson Jake stayed overnight with me so we could get an early start before the 90 degree afternoon temperature set in.   We did get outside by 9:30.  Already the sun was quite hot.
A power washer machine connects with a garden hose and then the water is fed into gas powered high pressured smaller hose and spout.  It is designed to loosen the dirt, moss and "green stuff" that clings to everything outside in this temperate rain forest.
With having lived here now for a little more that 2 years, my sidewalk, deck and driveway are showing signs of PNW exposure. That plus the management's decree that everyone have their sidewalks power washed by August 1 I figured it was time to do just that.

No job is done until the road is swept clean of rocks.....

The project was completed in 3 hours.  Then we were off to a local burger shop for lunch and ......a free blackberry sundae......because the service was slow.....
fresh, local blackberries.....yum!

Jake and I finished our day together with going to the $3 movie.  We cheered when we realized that Godzilla saved the west coast from being destroyed by nuclear power fed giant insects.   Wow.....

This has been a good power washing day in the life of Grandma G.
