TACO PARTY/DEB B-DAY....

Today was the day AFTER Deb's B-day party. It is proof that this senior hen ain't no spring chick anymore.  I was totally tired out.  Almost.
I did get up early enough to sit for a few minutes before going to water aerobics.  We senior ladies get a good workout and then a sumptuous soak in the hot tub.
Upon returning to my home, before eating, I spent an hour stretching, vocalizing and practicing in front of a mirror for the song I am singing at church on Sunday.  Now, practicing singing in front of a mirror might sound vain.  On the contrary it is quite appalling to see how one appears to one's audience.  Hence the practicality of practicing in front of a mirror.  One can see what stance, facial expressions, gestures are more appealing than others.  I have found, also, that it is difficult for me to sing with a full stomach.  People don't realize that musicians and singers must be just as trained and disciplined as athletes.
After some breakfast/lunch and a hot shower I lay down for just a minute and woke up 2 hours later.  (Had to have been the taco party on Wednesday.)
Did party dishes about 2 PM, more singing and the rest of the day passed quietly in a mixture of TV, computer work, eating, TV, exercising my sore right shoulder, TV, more computer work and now blogging.  AH, the day after a wild taco party.

Wednesday was the main event this week!

HAPPY B-DAY, DEBBIE!!

Today was Debbie's Birthday.  She is the first of our seven children.  Her dad always called her  "Super Debbie", the first of our "Magnificent Seven".   What I remember most about Deb's infancy is that at 4 months in the womb she started moving energetically---and hasn't stopped since.  She was so quick with puzzles that when she would have a contest against her younger brother and Grandma Rose (as a team) she would stop occasionally and point out to them where their piece should go (even though she was looking upside down).  I'd like to claim it is my intelligence but I think it was from dad.
Angie came over earlier today to go shopping with me for our taco supper.  First she wanted to buy flowers for her mom and take them to her workplace.

                                                     Deb is how old??

The party went well except that Deb and Keys came over early so we had to send Deb for a nap while we decorated and wrapped presents.  We even had party games of drawing "Taco Joe",  "who can make the most words" and "how many hot tamale candies are in the jar?"  Fun was had by all!!  OLE!

This has been a good 2 Deb/taco party days in the life of Grandma G.

"Then our sons in their youth will be like well nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace."  (Psalms 144:12)
